31 Day Nail Challenge - Day 21: INSPIRED BY A COLOR

This challenge has really been challenging for me. : ) The hardest part for me has been getting a post up on time everyday. The best part has been trying all the different designs I've never done before. For today's challenge I still wanted to try something new. I really love all the color blocking I saw on the Spring 2012 runways. I decided to use my favorite color, blue, for color block nails. This was my first time using this blue and pink, so I wasn't sure how they were going to look. The blue is a little darker than I expected. The pink was a lot more sheer than I expected. The green is a great opaque one coater, making the thumb design look perfect.

What I used for my color block manicure:

No-Miss "Boca Base Coat"

Mineral Fusion "Rockfall" 

Karma Hues "Farmer's Market Berries"

No-Miss "Gainsville Green"

I got away with 1 coat for this swatch of Mineral Fusion "Rockfall", but it would be better with 2 coats. (This nail polish  line hasn't been added to Mineral Fusion's website yet. I got it at Whole Foods.)
